Lauren Monteleone is a 2008 graduate of Nottingham High School. While attending Nottingham, she was a part of the varsity softball team, choir, drill team, and Fame (Serena).
After graduating, she attended Shenandoah Conservatory in VA, where she graduated in 2012 with a BFA in Musical Theatre and a minor in piano. During her time at Shenandoah, she was cast in Ragtime (Ensemble) The Comedy of Errors (Dromio of Ephesus U/S, Zanni), A Chorus Line (Val), The Who's Tommy (Ensemble) and Assassins (Assistant Director). She was also a part of Shenandoah Summer Music Theatre where she performed in Oklahoma (Ensemble), Show Boat (Ensemble), White Christmas(Judy U/S), Seussical (Bird Girl), South Pacific (Ensemble/Dance Captain), and Curtains (Bambi Bernet). She then went on to work with Charleston Stage in Charleston, SC where she performed in shows such as Legally Blonde (Serena), Boeing Boeing (Gloria), Anything Goes (Hope Harcourt), and A Year With Frog And Toad (Turtle/Baby Frog) as well as teaching acting classes to children K-12th grade. Her and her fellow resident actors were involved with “Engaging Creative Minds.” This is a program designed to get children in title one schools excited about learning through theatre activities.
After her time in Charleston, she moved to NYC where she began to do workshops with Holland America Cruise Line. She then went on to work with Seacoast Repertory in Portsmouth, NH performing in Hair (Tribe U/S Crissy), Pirates of Penzance (Mabel) and 8-Track: The Sounds of the 70's.
She is now back in NYC still pursing theatre as well as teaching kids acting/dance K-5th grade. She also volunteers her time with Book Pals; a non-profit organization through SAG-AFTRA, that goes into public schools and read books aloud to children preK-3rd grade. A huge thank you to Michael Crea, Kryus Keenan Westcott, Stephanie Venanzi, Nicholas Cheng, Jay Dugan and Jessi Franko for the tremendous amount of hard work they put into creating this cabaret!
