Jennifer Furman
Jenn was seen at Nottingham as Bloody Mary in South Pacific, The Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music, Dolly Levi in Hello, Dolly!, and Lilli/Kate in Kiss Me, Kate. After graduating in 1998, Jenn moved to New York City to attend the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Just before graduation from AMDA, she landed her first professional role as Jan in Grease at The Media Theatre, and has worked as an actress since. Notable credits include Anything Goes (Reno Sweeney) and Chicago (Mama) at The Naples Dinner Theatre, Evita (Eva Peron) at The Fulton Opera House, Funny Girl (Fanny Brice) at The Forrestburgh Playhouse, Annie (Miss Hannigan), A Funny Thing…Forum (Domina), and The Who’s Tommy (The Acid Queen, which landed her union status with The Actors’ Equity Association), all at Surflight Theatre, I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change (Woman #2) at The Seven Angels Theatre, and the East coast premiere of The Breakup Notebook (Shelia Mathers) at ReVision Theatre, among others.
In addition, she has toured China in The Sound of Music (Sr. Berthe, u/s Mother Abbess), as well as having toured nationally in Thoroughly Modern Millie (Miss Flannery, u/s Mrs. Meers). Most recently, she was seen on the national tour of the Broadway hit musical Wicked, as the Midwife and as understudy to the role of Madame Morrible. Jenn has performed in two one-woman-shows in Manhattan at The Duplex and The Laurie Beechman Theatre, as well as many cabarets, readings, and concerts in venues such as Birdland and New World Stages. Jenn currently resides in Hamilton with her husband, Johnathan, her son, Patrick, and is ecstatic to welcome baby #2 this January.
